Back home again with 1 week to go...
Feeling I should update this, and ending up moping around all day eating and drinking tea so it's now about half 11 and I can finally be arsed (well not really). Got back from Sidmouth yesterday, happy days :) was 'mazing, glad I went, and although it's the last english festival i'll be at this year, it's ok because people are coming here on tuesday to keep me happy for a few days before it really is it. (Sweden is a week tomorrow) eeeek. And another thing...A level results on thursday. Shit the vicar. But what can you do. I stopped worrying a while ago now...and i've had such a good summer! I'll be back in october though, most likely as i'll miss people loads! :(
Just uploaded photos from germany, warwick and sidmouth, mostly from germany because i had more time there to faff around taking photos of stuff.
Sidmouth was a bit grey cold and misty at first (and a bit of a bastard to get to), but then the sun came out and we even went swimming in the sea which was nice. The rest of the time was mainly spent in pubs and a cheap cafe we found with nice curry sauce. Saw Karine Polwart in the sunny sun which was a highlight. Got a braid in my hair. Saw loads of lovely people I hadn't seen in a while. Had a good journey back to Sheffield with Jack, very glad he was with me or I would have gone insane...

lolly doing her thing...
Then fireworks (of which a good picture is hardly ever possible):

Then we dressed as cavegirl warriors and danced the night away to the demon barbers:
So tomorrow is sorting stuff out day for me as i've written a to do list. Going to town to buy a suicase and laptop bag and get my eurpoean health card etc. Then need to get my fiddle insured. Then on tuesday James and Jack are coming to stay! Whey happy days.

I was mainly feeling sad about the fact I can't get to sidmouth, after many possibilities that I might, but it was all a bit short notice and getting a ticket didn't work out so i'm not going to see certain people for a very long time :(. I was also feeling sad because I've done something to my shoulder (I think too much trying out everybody's instruments) and it hurt, but it's much better now.
So, i'm gutted about sidmouth which coincides with all these doubts i'm having about Sweden next year, i'm not looking forward to it as much as I was. I think this is because i've been spending time with alot of my favourite people who I don't see alot of in the year usually (bloody A levels etc), and i'm missing festivals here (like Whitby for the first time ever), so i'm going away before all the summer fun has ended, and also i'm choosing to go away when I could stay here and spend more time with them all in the year, for a change. But I keep forgetting that i'm not gone forever, and they'll all be here when I get back, and i'll make loads of new friends and fun in Sweden. But hmph.
So it's Rowan's birthday today, and we all ate strawberry cake. She got kenwood wizzy stirring cake things (which i've always wanted, we used to have some but Cath gave them to Sally I think..), loads of stationary and soap from me and BAGPIPES. She's playing them in the kitchen at the moment. (wheeeey!) I think we're going for lunch in a bit, then party tomorrow, and it's also my friend Molly's birthday so i'll venture out tonight though I don't really feel like hitting any club.
Next week I think i'll go up to Scotland instead as Rowan and Marit are going to be there and i'm not at sidmouth, and i've not really been there this summer (which I was missing aswell). Should be fun. Then I think a trip to Newcastle is planned, to see the new house and visit people before I leave :( . Lucy WALKER. I must try and see her.
I need to upload all these photos from Germany and Warwick (well there aren't many from Warwick, I was too busy having too much fun), but I can't be arsed. My camera is all the way downstairs and I need to tidy my room and unpack (atrocious that I havn't done it yet). So blah blah blah this is a boring blog x

Finally home for a few days at least..
It was really nice to see everyone at Warwick, but was sad to say goodbye (for a long time) this morning, i'll miss them all so much, but hopefully some visits to Sweden will be arranged next year.
Cath's just gone to pick Rowan and Marit up from sheffield station which is exciting and relieving as I was worried about them flying to Estonia.
I must sleep now, for a long time.

Home from Sweden..
So I finally got home yesterday at about 1pm, without my massive bag as it was still in Copenhagen, but is being delivered here which saved me having to carry it home (whey!). Was nice to see Cath again who I'd not seen for ages, and we watched a bit of the Federer-Nadal tennis match and I went to bed at half 3, to wake up at half 9 absolutely sure it was the morning. I was so confused and tired! So went to bed again, and woke up this morning slightly more refreshed (but still sad and missing everyone terribly). I hadn't slept in a bed since Tobias' house on thursday night after ethno (which was amazing, we got to stay in his guest house in his massive garden, of his massive house). His parents cooked amazing food for us and were so nice, thanks Tobias! So it was nice to have a couple of days relaxation in Rättvik, which is probably one of the most beautiful places i've been to. We went swimming and sunbathing by the lake for a long time.. i've gone a bit brown! The bridge over the lake is about 900m long, and each plank has a name on it (people who have contributed). We spent many nights there at ethno.
On friday we got the bus to Boda for the Spelmansstämma (festival) and met up with a few ethnoers which was nice, and we played and ate and had a nice time, until we realised there were no buses back to Rättvik the next day in time for our trains, so we had to take the tent down, and hitch a lift with some strangers at 4 in the morning back to Rättvik. We were literally crammed in like sardines, and I was lying on a russian girl i'd never met, but we managed to survive it in one piece (thanks strangers!).
haha sorry Marit!
We then ended up pitching the tent round the back of the school, trying to be inconspicuous, although it's bright red and says 'fältält' on the side. Anyhow, we managed to get about 4 hours sleep. On saturday it rained, so we cafe hopped for a bit, until we decided the library was the best place to go. It really was, I found a wooden igloo in the children's section packed with pillows and fell asleep for a good 3 hours which was brilliant, maybe not for the kids wanting to play in it though. I positioned a book just incase I got caught.
So eventually me and Rowan got our train to Arlanda Airport, where we then slept for the night (barely, because of many loud pissed people) and got up at 4am to check-in. We flew at 6 and changed at Copenhagen, and I slept the whole way without even noticing take-off or landing (even though I was squidged between two fat men reading newspapers) which made the flights better as usually my ears hurt alot, but this time they didn't.
Rowan enjoying the children's play area:
I'm still tired and sad, as I met some certain special people at ethno, and don't know when or if i'll see them again... but here are some pictures..

scotland and england in the concert, and africa..
It's impossible to sum it up in a few pictures, but there are more if you click here: (link to come)
